How To Dress Like Kate Hudson

  • weekend wardrobe 01

Award-winning actress and Hollywood royalty Kate Hudson is as well known for her coveted sense of style as her memorable movie roles and acting pedigree.

The daughter of film stars Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell is never one to shy away from scene-stealing red carpet gowns. Off-duty, her wardrobe consists of a bohemian floral maxi dresses, layered jewels and western-style boots.

Now a mother of two young boys, Kate first rose to fame in 2000 for playing Penny Lane in the cult film, Almost Famous. After collecting a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination for the role, Kate went on to star in blockbuster rom-com hits including How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days and Bride Wars.

On this occasion, Kate showed off her style credentials in a flowing lilac gown as she attended a star-studded cocktail party in Cannes, France.  The ethereal dress featured a subtle train along with a delicately beaded bodice. To top off her feminine look, the 37-year-old starlet paired it with glittering diamond earrings and a metallic box clutch.

Kate wore her blonde locks in loose waves and her make-up paired down with glowing skin, shimmering eyes and a pale pink lipstick.

This glamorous look is ideal for both Iftar celebrations in the UAE or summer weddings. Here, we show you how to copy her beautiful look from the Middle East’s leading shopping malls.

Sweet Dreams Interior buys for the bedroom

  • Sweet Dreams Home 01

We believe your bedroom should be a personal sanctuary. A place to switch off from the rest of the world and drift off into a comfortable snooze.

While we’re all for colourful ornaments, bright art and a mishmash of printed pillows, when it comes to your bedroom, it’s usually best to keep the decor simple and clean. The fewer items in the room to distract you while you try to sleep, the better.

The same applies to wall and colour palettes – opt for muted shades of grey, beige and white, which have been proven to help improve sleep patterns.

The shopping malls in the Middle East are bursting with décor finds to fill your bedroom, from luxurious interior stores such as The One, Villeroy & Boch and Harvey Nichols Dubai, to more affordable buys found in Zara Home, Crate & Barrel Dubai and Home Centre.

Scroll down to discover a few of our favourite small luxuries to turn your bedroom into the ultimate slumber zone now…

  • Sweet Dreams Home 03

Duvet cover set, Crate & Barrel, visit Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif

Décor tip: Create your own mini hotel room at home by investing in good quality bedding. While there is no need to spend thousands of dirhams, do look for the highest thread count possible – these are usually the softest sheets and will last for many years to come.
