Majid Al Futtaim – the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia - is enhancing its free fitness training programme: ‘City Walkers’, with a new up-beat ‘Wednesday music session’, from now onwards.
The City Walkers program is free of charge, ideal for participants 16 and above. It offers an in-mall free work out session hosted by fitness professionals. It runs for 60 minutes and includes: warm up, stretching, cool down periods and a mix of lunges, push-ups, high jumps, plank, pulsating / partial squats, mountain climbers, side lunges, star jumps, get ups, crucifix push / wide push and more.
City Walkers takes place three times a week: every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. To join the program, participants simply need to register at the customer service desk on the ground floor, at City Centre Bahrain, and can immediately start training at the mall’s central galleria.
Intending to continuously renew its visitors’ experiences, City Centre Bahrain’s City Walkers program now includes ‘Wednesday music sessions’: providing fitness members a space to synchronize the choreographed fitness program to their individual movements along with a selection of fun music tracks.
“City Walkers is aligned with Majid Al Futtaim’s vision to create great moments for everyone, everyday, offering an energetic exercise program that infuses a fun atmosphere suitable for all ages. We are proud to offer a lifestyle experience that goes beyond shopping and addresses an important health and fitness need,” says Duaij Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager, at Majid Al Futtaim - City Centre Bahrain.
With over 2,000 registered fitness enthusiasts and 200 regular members, City Walkers has proved to be a platform for significant health improvements and fitness progress in the Kingdom. Since inception in April 2010, City Walkers has offered a total of 1,200 hours of complimentary fitness sessions.
